About Us
Hello! We’re Judy and David Long, and we have owned Dream Come True since 2007. We bought the home from the original homeowner/builder, and we’ve been coming to Smith Mountain Lake for several years with our family. There have been many improvements to the home since we purchased it. Each year, a project is done to make it even better. We visit the home religiously to make sure it is clean, organized and fully equipped – even when it is booked back to back. We live in Greensboro, NC and so we are able to visit the house often, even if just for the day. In the off season, you can find us here cleaning extensively, making improvements and relaxing in our beautiful home! We hope Dream Come True will come to mind when you think about where to plan your next vacation.
Why We Chose Moneta
Our home is very unique and is truly a ‘lake house!’ We did not want to climb steps or a hill to go back and forth to the water so when we saw this home we knew it was the one! We love the fireplaces, the woodwork, and best of all – the deck over the water that is accessed straight from the living room!! Also, the master bedroom is beautiful – cathedral wood ceiling, stone gas fireplace and a deck over the water!

What Makes This House Unique?
This home is on the water. When the lake is at full pond, the water hits the foundation of our home! We joke with people and tell them that they could fish out of the master bedroom windows!! It is so peaceful! We visit our home every 2 weeks – even during the summer months – to personally check on it and make sure it is in top condition for our visitors! The sunset views from our home are fantastic. The best part is you feel as though you are on top of the lake – even standing at the kitchen sink! It is truly one of the most unique homes on Smith Mountain Lake! Our home is equipped like no other. We leave it as though we were staying there except for our personal food! You name it, we have it – from a fully equipped kitchen to lake toys, games, books, an extensive video collection, and puzzles! We have a tiki bar, but actually the whole house is your tiki bar because the house sits on the lake! There is plenty of dock room for sunning and watching the sunsets, and a large floater to tie your boats up to. There are two decks over the water and they are connected onto the house. Eat your meals on the upper deck, which extends straight out from the living room/kitchen area. Come enjoy our home as much as we do! We have 3 kayaks, and we are situated in a great cove to use them. We love to have our dogs with us (and know you do too), so we have a fenced in yard. Plus, the dock has a gate on it so the dogs can enjoy lake time as well!
